I call Pittsburgh, PA my home, and music has always been my major passion in life. I started listening to artists like Bob Dylan and John Prine when I was a young child and became fascinated with the way they told stories through their songs. At a young age I began writing my own songs, and then learned to play the guitar. I recorded my first album of original songs in a jazz studio in Pittsburgh when I was 17, and also played my songs in bars and clubs throughout the Pittsburgh area. At the age of 22, I moved to south Florida and recorded my second album entitled Peace of Mind. In 2007, I first met and began to work with Pete Larmon, and we reconnected again in 2013. Together we created The Jon Greco Band. I’m thrilled to have formed a band with such talented musicians, and it’s an honor to have these guys play my music. Prior to reuniting with Pete, 2 years of personal losses and many dark nights fueled the inspiration for what has become the album Borderline. Love, lust, tumultuous relationships, and manipulation are at the core of this album. Borderline was recorded in Davie, Florida over the period of about a year. Most of the members of The Jon Greco Band played on the album, and it was guided by the capable direction of producer Mario Caroscio. My songs are very personal, and come from life experience. I write music constantly and have continued to write and play shows in South Florida. I’m very proud of both The Jon Greco Band and Borderline.
